Events
On the second Monday of each month, we have an event night with guest speakers, refreshments and raffle. We meet at Cleeve Football Club, Kayte Lane, GL52 3PD.
Doors open at 18:45 for a 19:00 start. Free for members, £6 for non-members.

Mon 09 JunBishops Cleeve Football ClubMyra will be giving a demonstration to reflect the flowers and foliage that will be easily available. She particularly likes using foliage that grows in many of our gardens and re-using/re-purposing containers.
Mon 12 MayBishops Cleeve Football ClubAward-winning lawn care business owner Mike Simmonds, will present and be open to Questions and Answers. Mike's talk will give some ideas, hints, tips and best practice for creating and maintaining a lawn for all to enjoy.
Mon 14 AprBishops Cleeve Football ClubBrian will give a high level insight into the fascinating life of honey bees and the role of the beekeeper. Brian has been keeping bees for 16 years and currently manages 12 hives. Brian’s honey will be available to purchase on the night so please bring cash!
Mon 10 MarBishops Cleeve Football ClubPaul, an experienced nurseryman from Green Leaves Nursery will show us a mix of rare and common, old and new plants and give tips and tricks to get great performance from your plants. Paul will also bring some plants along for sale.
Mon 10 FebBishops Cleeve Football ClubMarion will talk to us on raised bed vegetable gardening, covering why and how to build and use raised beds, including soil management, crop rotations, pests and designs. Marion has been involved in a broad range of horticultural projects for domestic, commercial and community gardens.
Mon 13 JanBishops Cleeve Football ClubGail Plant will present a variety of beautifully fragranced flowers and plants collected from her garden that day for us to smell and enjoy. This will be an interactive talk. Gail has been lecturing for 15 years and enjoys bringing back memories through smells and enhancing our garden knowledge.

Mon 11 NovCleeve School and Sixth Form CentrePam will dispel some of the myths about alpines, give hints on their cultivation and show ways they can be used around the garden. She will also run through the year showing plants which can be attractive in every season.
Mon 14 OctCleeve School and Sixth Form CentreRoger Umpleby is a professional entomologist and horticulturalist with many years of consulting and research with government and industry. He will guide us on different pests of the garden and how to overcome them without chemicals.
